The NODC activities have focused on the development of skills for manipulation of Data, preparation of Data and information products and participation in IODE conferences. The Batoke/Limbe Research Station for Fisheries and Oceanography hosted this Center from 2001 to 2003. Since 2004 the NODC was move to the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Douala. Following the evaluation visit of the ODINAFRICA Project Coordinator in Cameroon and view the difficulties encountered at Douala University, the Coordinator decided that the National Oceanographic Data should be localized in CERECOMA (IRAD Kribi). This has been effective since 1st August 2006.
